Electrical Installation Company in Bangladesh
An electrical installation company in Bangladesh builds the power system a design describes: HT and LT panels, substations, cable trays and cabling, distribution boards, earthing, lighting and power outlets. A good installer then tests and commissions the system and documents it, so the owner receives a safe, working installation with certificates and records for inspections.
Hiring an electrical installation company in Bangladesh is about more than getting cables connected. The quality of the installation decides whether panels overheat, whether breakers trip when they should, and whether people are protected when insulation fails. TOTO POWER Engineering has worked as an engineering consultancy since 2011 and is enlisted with the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE). We install, test and certify electrical systems for factories, commercial buildings and residential projects, with teams working from our Dhaka and Chittagong offices.

What is electrical installation?
Electrical installation is the physical construction of a power system from approved drawings. It includes fixing equipment, laying and terminating cables, building the earthing system, wiring final circuits, and then proving that everything works safely through testing and commissioning. An installation should match its electrical design exactly, and any change made on site should be approved and recorded on the as-built drawings.
In Bangladesh, many electrical fires and failures we see during safety assessments trace back to the installation stage: loose terminations, undersized replacement cables, missing earth conductors, overcrowded trays and panels assembled without proper segregation. These are workmanship problems, and they are prevented by careful installation, supervision and testing before handover.
Who needs an electrical installation company?
- New factories and extensions in the RMG, textile and industrial sectors, where the installation must pass DIFE and buyer safety inspections.
- Commercial and residential developers who need a complete installation from substation to final circuits.
- Existing sites replacing old panels, rewiring overloaded areas or adding generators and power factor correction.
- Compliance managers closing electrical findings from an audit or corrective action plan.
What does our electrical installation service cover?
HT and LT panels and substations
We install HT switchgear, transformers, LT main panels, power factor correction panels and generator changeover arrangements, with correct clearances, cable entries and labelling. Panel foundations, trenches and the substation room layout are checked before equipment arrives.
Cabling and cable management
Cable trays, ladders and conduits are installed along agreed routes with adequate spacing and supports. Cables are laid without damage, grouped as the design assumed, glanded and terminated with the correct lugs and torque, and identified at both ends.
Distribution boards and final circuits
Sub-main and final distribution boards are installed with circuit schedules on the door. Final circuits for lighting, sockets and machines are wired with the specified cable sizes and protective devices, including residual current protection where required.
Earthing and bonding
We install earth electrodes, earth pits, earthing conductors and main and supplementary bonding for transformers, generators, panels, metal structures and services. Where a lightning protection system is part of the scope, its earth terminations are integrated with the main earthing system as designed.
Lighting and power outlets
General, task, emergency and exit lighting are installed to the lighting layout, along with sockets, isolators and machine connections to the power layout.
How are installations tested and commissioned?
Before anything is energised, the installation is inspected and tested. Typical tests include insulation resistance of cables and equipment (see our cable insulation resistance test), earth electrode resistance (see our earth resistance test service), continuity of protective conductors, polarity, and operation of breakers and residual current devices. After energising, we check phase sequence, voltages, load balance and the operation of interlocks, changeover systems and power factor correction.
How is an electrical installation project carried out?
- Drawing review. We check the approved design, SLD and layouts, and raise queries before procurement.
- Method statement and programme. We agree the installation sequence, shutdowns, access and safety arrangements with the owner.
- Material inspection. Panels, cables and accessories are checked against the specification when they arrive on site.
- Installation. Equipment, cabling, earthing and final circuits are installed under the supervision of an engineer.
- Inspection and testing. The completed installation is inspected and tested, and results are recorded.
- Commissioning. The system is energised in stages and functional checks are carried out under load.
- Handover and certification. We hand over as-built drawings, test records and certificates, and brief your maintenance team.
Electrical installations certification in Bangladesh
Once an installation is complete and tested, it should be certified. Our electrical installations certification in Bangladesh confirms that the installation was inspected and tested and records the results. As an electrical wiring certificate company in Bangladesh, we also certify the wiring of existing buildings after inspection, and where individual measurements are needed we issue an electrical test certificate in Bangladesh with the measured values. If defects are found, they are listed for correction and re-tested before a certificate is issued.
| Document | What it shows | When it is used |
|---|---|---|
| Installation certificate | New or altered installation inspected and tested | Handover of new work or a major alteration |
| Wiring certificate | Condition of existing wiring after inspection | Buildings in use, audits, change of occupier |
| Test certificate | Measured results for specific tests | DIFE and buyer evidence, periodic testing |
What you receive
- A complete installation built to the approved drawings
- Material inspection and installation checklists
- Insulation resistance, earth resistance and other test records
- Commissioning reports for panels, generators and changeover systems
- As-built single line diagram, layouts and panel schedules
- Installation, wiring or test certificates as agreed
- A handover briefing for your maintenance staff
Which standards apply?
Installations are built to the approved design, which should comply with the electrical part of BNBC 2020 and IEC 60364 for low-voltage installations. Earth resistance testing follows IEEE 81 methods, and lightning protection follows IEC 62305. For factories, the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006, Labour Rules 2015 and DIFE inspections apply once the building is in use. The utility also inspects HT connections before supply is given.
What does electrical installation cost in Bangladesh?
The main cost factors are the connected load and number of panels, whether the scope includes an HT substation, transformer and generator, the length and size of cables, the type of cable management, the number of final circuits, the access and working hours available on site, and the testing and certification required. We provide a written, itemised quotation after reviewing the drawings or surveying the site.
Why choose TOTO POWER Engineering?
We design, install, test and certify, so one firm is accountable from the first drawing to the final certificate. Our engineers also carry out electrical safety assessments, which means we know which installation faults inspectors and buyers look for.
